Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition

Gastroenterology disorders are among the most painful and can be especially frightening for a child. At CCH, our pediatric gastroenterology program understands the special issues surrounding GI disorders. Cottage’s Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinic provides comprehensive consultation and exceptional care for children with gastrointestinal, nutritional and liver disorders.  The unit specializes in the care of children with chronic abdominal pain, bleeding from the GI tract, inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, diseases of the pancreas, poor weight gain, and other rare disorders

The team is led by Dr. Drew Kelts, who before coming to Cottage in 2007 directed pediatric GI programs at Children’s Hospital Central California in Madera and California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Kelts trained at Duke University, the University of Washington and Harvard University Children’s Hospital and Medical Center.
