 COTTAGE HEALTH SYSTEM

RESIDENT PHYSICIAN CLOSURE/REDUCTION POLICY

GOAL:
In the unlikely event of a reduction in size, temporary closure due to a disaster, or permanent  closure of a residency program or the entire institution, Cottage Health System will:

POLICY:

  1. Inform the GMEC, the DIO, and the impacted resident(s) as soon as possible.
  2. Allow residents already in the program to complete their education or take any and all actions reasonable and appropriate to assist the residents in enrolling in an ACGME accredited program in which they can continue their education.
