Room Accessories: Each hospital room has an adjustable bed, a special health mattress, a chest of drawers for personal items, a small closet and, in most cases, a thermostat for temperature control.

Television: Each patient room has cable television. You can ask your nurse for a program guide. The remote control device also serves as a nurse call button. It’s within bedside reach and easy to use.

Phone Calls: Phones are by each bed. For local calls, dial 9 + the number. (Use the telephone directory to avoid an information operator charge.) For long distance, dial 9 + 0 to reach the outside operator; these calls need to be collect or charged with a calling card. Family and friends can reach you by calling the hospital and asking for your floor and room number.
