Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital
Campaign Meets $7 Million Goal

The newly renovated Hotel Corque in Solvang recently hosted 200 Santa Ynez Valley residents and guests to celebrate the successful conclusion of the $7 million Building Campaign for SYVCH. The total was raised thanks to the generosity of 400 donors.

Co-Chairs of The Building Campaign for SYVCH, Charles Chester and Tresha Sell, announced the successful completion of the campaign on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Foundation.

The co-chairs also thanked Ken Mills, who served as the Campaign's Honorary Chair, and Jim Lindsey, who acted as a special advisor. Charles Chester in turn extended special thanks to the 16-member Council of Solicitors, a group of community volunteers who led the fundraising charge.

In her remarks, Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Vice President Wende Cappetta summed up the effort: "Your generosity has continued an incredible 45-year philanthropic tradition in the Valley of which I am extremely proud to be a part.

"Your support will help retrofit and expand the hospital to better serve the Valley for generations to come. You have ensured medical excellence close to home."
