 Our Level IV Trauma Center at Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital initiates care for any injury. We have highly trained emergency medicine physicians and trauma specialists and provide services through discharge and rehabilitation. In severe cases, our trauma center provides advanced trauma life support and is equipped to resuscitate and stabilize patients and arrange for their transfer to a higher level trauma center if needed. We are the only hospital in the area with a heliport on site allowing us to provide emergency transport from off-shore platforms, ships at sea, and back country wilderness areas.
