 The Cottage Founders Society was formed to pay tribute to our benefactors who have made significant commitments of $50,000 or more, from January 1, 2004 through the present, in support of Cottage Health System's mission. These major commitments have helped Cottage stay strong, medically exceptional, and able to provide comfort and care to all those who need it, regardless of ability to pay.
Cottage Founders Society members have allowed us to continue to build on the dreams of our early founders. Their generosity reinforces not just the bricks and mortar of our medical facility, but the role of Cottage as a preeminent medical center and teaching hospital. Thus it is fitting that these visionary individuals be recognized as members of the Cottage Founders Society.

The Cottage 1888 Society, named after the year Cottage Hospital was founded, honors donors for remembering the hospital in their estate plans or with a deferred gift such as a trust or annuity. If you have any questions about the 1888 Society, please call the Carla Long at 805-879-8980.
Cottage Associates are counted among the hospital’s closest circle of friends. Associates' generosity helps to ensure that our not-for-profit community hospital will continue to meet the challenges of saving lives, treating and preventing illness, and improving community health.
To continue the tradition of caring, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital relies on our Cottage Associates participants, with membership available to donors with gifts totaling $1,000 or more annually.
Businesses with annual gifts totaling $2,500 and above are awarded Cottage Business Associates membership which includes the benefits listed below along with special recognition on our benefactor display in the hospital and promotional opportunities in conjunction with Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital's special events.

* Streamlined patient admission when admission is pre-arranged with 72 hours notice by calling the Associates program director.
